Within these Terms and Conditions, any reference to “OLLI (Organisational Linked Learning Interface)” shall be understood as referring to the business department operating under Tōtara Hospice. OLLI is an innovative initiative established by Tōtara Hospice to support the sustainability of its services and enhance palliative care capability through the provision of educational courses. This online education platform, accessible via ollieducate.org, is dedicated to ensuring the continuity of our services while offering valuable learning opportunities. 

As these Terms may be updated periodically, significant changes will be communicated to you, and you may be asked to re-acknowledge your agreement. We encourage you to read these Terms carefully, as failure to comply may result in the termination of your account. 

Definitions 

• Platform: The website and services provided by OLLI, including the integration and use of the Teachable platform for course delivery and management. 
• User: Any individual who accesses or uses the Platform. 
• Content: All materials available on the Platform, including courses, videos, text, images, and other educational resources. 
• Terms: The terms and conditions outlined in this document. 

User Accounts and Individual Accountability 

• Account Creation: To access certain features of the Platform, you must create an individual account using your personal details, including your legal name and current contact information. This ensures account legitimacy, security, and a trusted relationship between you and OLLI. 
• Appropriate Use: You agree to use your account solely for legitimate learning and educational purposes. Ownership of an account is non-transferable. 
• Compliance: By creating an account, you agree to abide by the user values and terms of conduct set forth in this document. 
• Third-Party Platforms: By accessing the OLLI Platform, you also agree to the Terms and Conditions of our partner platform, Teachable. 
• Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and should not share your login details with any secondary or third parties. Please notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use or access to your account. 
• Account Suspension: OLLI reserves the right to temporarily or permanently block or remove user accounts if there is evidence or suspicion of a breach of these Terms. 

Terms of User Conduct 

Users must adhere to the following guidelines while using the Platform: 

• Lawful Use: Access the Platform and its resources solely for lawful purposes and only as authorised by OLLI. 
• Content Sharing: Do not share or distribute any Platform content without explicit written permission from OLLI. 
• Integrity: Avoid any conduct that might compromise the integrity of the Platform or discredit OLLI, its partners, or its services. 
• Respect: Refrain from engaging in activities or behaviours that could negatively impact other users’ experience. 
• Privacy: Respect the privacy of other users, particularly regarding personal information. Sharing personal details is at your own risk. 
• Confidentiality: Do not share any confidential information related to past, current, or potential patients that could lead to their identification.
• Prohibited Activities: Do not engage in activities that may be deemed harmful, including: Discrimination, harassment, or bullying of any form and Hate speech, including but not limited to racism, homophobia, sexism, ableism, or any form of bigotry. 

Responsibilities of OLLI 

• Data Protection: OLLI is committed to protecting user account information and will only share personal data with relevant parties necessary for delivering our educational courses.
• Complaint Resolution: We will investigate any complaints regarding user conduct and take appropriate action, which may include account suspension or termination. Depending on the severity of the issue, you may be notified of a complaint and given an opportunity to respond before any action is taken. 

Intellectual Property and Copyright 

• Ownership: All content on the OLLI Platform, including that provided through our Teachable school, is the intellectual property of OLLI and is protected by New Zealand copyright and intellectual property laws. 
• Usage: Users may only use the content for personal, non-commercial purposes. Modification, reproduction, or distribution of any content without explicit permission is prohibited. 
• Branding: Downloadable content must retain OLLI’s branding and copyright information. 
• Responsibility: Users will be held accountable for any unauthorised distribution or file-sharing activities. 

Payment

• Payment Requirements: Certain features on the Platform may require payment, which will be clearly indicated. 
• Account Termination: Refunds will not be issued for accounts terminated due to a breach of these Terms. 

Privacy Policy 

OLLI is committed to safeguarding your privacy. Personal information will not be shared, sold, or disclosed to third parties without your consent. Our staff may access account details solely for support purposes and only with your permission. We encourage you to review our Privacy Policy for more detailed information.

Limitation of Liability 

OLLI shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
